'I Can Make Myself Flowers' Pottery Workshop 2026
A relaxed, hands-on pottery workshop where you can take time for yourself and create something beautiful by hand. Guided by our experienced Craft Potter, you’ll make a pinch-pot bud vase and a collection of five miniature ceramic flowers, each shaped, textured, and finished in your own style. These are flowers you can truly make for yourself and enjoy at home, season after season.
Working with our Derbyshire clay, you’ll start by hand-building your bud vase before moving on to shaping your flowers. A range of pottery tools will help you add detail and texture, giving each piece a personal touch.
After a short break for tea or coffee, you’ll apply colour using our soft coloured slips to enhance the textures you’ve created (choose between pastel pinks, blues, greens and cream). Any exposed clay will be finished by our team with a clear glaze during the final firing.
Your potter will be on hand throughout, offering guidance and sharing techniques to help you achieve a well-finished result.
Once complete, your handmade clay flowers and vase will be carefully kiln-fired and finished by our team, ready to collect complete with wooden stems in approximately six weeks to brighten up your home.
PRICE: £45.00 per person - This adult (over 18 yrs) craft workshop is perfect for all experience levels and is fully accessible to everyone.
CRAFTING TIME: Please meet at the Denby Craft Studio & Welcome Desk ready for your workshop to promptly start. This is a 3-hour workshop. Please note that all tickets need to be booked in advance.
NOTES: All materials, including an apron, will be provided on the day. As you will be working with clay and glazes, we advise you to wear something that you don't mind getting dirty.
A free hot drink is also included, which can be enjoyed on the day in Bourne’s Coffee Shop & Bistro.
Please note that on occasion, clay work may crack or break in the kiln firing process and this is beyond our control. In the unfortunate event that this should happen we will make contact with you.
We will contact you when your creations are ready to collect (within 6 weeks).

However, should unforeseen conditions prevail, an alternative date or time will be offered or a full refund will be given. Unfortunately, this event is non - transferable and refunds cannot be given for cancellations.
