Christmas Tree Decorations - Pottery Workshop 2024
Workshops available: Tuesday 3rd December: 2pm-4pm
Join us in the Denby Craft Studio and create a selection of ceramic Christmas tree decorations during our fun and festive pottery craft workshop. We'll kiln fire a selection of your creations too, ready to collect in February 2025.
Craft your own set of ceramic tree decorations from our Derbyshire clay, hand-paint a Denby Angel decoration using our colourful Denby glazes and complete your experience with a free cuppa at Bourne's Coffee Shop & Bistro.
PRICE: £40.00 per person
What to expect on the day: Our skilled and friendly Craft Studio team will start the workshop with a ‘how-to’ demonstration and share lots of useful tips, to help you get the most from your workshop - you don’t need to be an expert to join in!
Then, it’s over to you to craft your set of clay Christmas tree decorations. You’ll start by rolling and cutting our Derbyshire clay into your chosen shapes using festive cookie cutters and pottery tools. Your favourite four designs will be glazed by the team (post event) in Natural canvas. The rest of your creations can be taken away on the day to air dry and decorate at home.
During the workshop, you’ll also hand-paint a beautiful ceramic Denby Angel decoration, which we’ll kiln fire after the workshop. Our team will be on hand to offer you guidance and inspiration (should you need it).
A free hot drink is also included, which can be enjoyed on the day in Bourne’s Coffee Shop & Bistro before your 2pm Craft Workshop, please collect your voucher from the welcome desk at the Denby Craft Studio.
CRAFTING TIME: Starts at 2pm and finishes at 4pm. Please meet at the Denby Craft Studio & Welcome Desk ready for your experience to start.
Please note that all bookings need to be made within 48 hours of the workshop date.
WHO’S IT FOR: This adult crafting experience is perfect for all abilities and all attendees must be over the age of 18 years.
NOTES: All materials, including an apron, will be provided on the day. As you will be working with clay and paint, we advise you to wear something that you don't mind getting dirty.
Please note that on occasion, clay work may crack or break in the kiln firing process and this is beyond our control. In the unfortunate event that this should happen we will contact you and advise of the options available.
We will contact you when your creations are ready to collect in February 2025.

Visitor parking is available for free in our customer car park within easy reach of the Welcome Desk located inside the Denby Craft Studio.
Upon arrival, please head to the Welcome Desk inside the Denby Craft Studio and collect your free drink voucher from the team to enjoy before your Craft Experience at 2pm.
BOOKINGS: Denby Pottery Village will make every effort to ensure that your Ceramic Christmas Angel Decorations Workshop goes ahead on the confirmed date and time. However, should unforeseen conditions prevail, an alternative date or time will be offered or a full refund will be given. Unfortunately, this event is non - transferable and refunds cannot be given for cancellations.
