The Denby Pottery Tour
You may have seen us on TV, now come and discover ‘inside the factory’ for yourself during this brand new and immersive tour of our Derbyshire Pottery.
Available to book only every Tuesday and Thursday at 10.30 am . Please note that this is a 60 - 90 minute walking tour inside our working pottery and involves the use of stairs.
Did you know that it takes 20 pairs of hands to make every piece of Denby? Join your guide and go behind the scenes and into the heart of our working Pottery to meet some of our skilled craftspeople at work. Watch as they use time-honoured skills, finessed over 200 years, to transform our local Derbyshire clay into the famous Denby Pottery that you know and love.

If you’d like to get creative whilst you’re here, there’s also the option to add entry tickets for pottery painting in the Denby Craft Studio, and select your preferred session time at the booking stage.
When adding multiple experiences to build your Denby day out, please check for any overlaps with the session times.
There’s plenty of time to visit the Denby Factory Shop too, where you’ll find the widest collection of Denby seconds that have been handcrafted in our pottery.
The Denby Pottery Tour Starts: 10.30am and lasts approximately 60-90 minutes.
Please ensure that you arrive at least 10 minutes in advance of your tour start time. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the tour, we're unable to accommodate any late arrivals.
Afternoon Tea upgrades: Select between 12.00 noon or 2pm.
Who’s it for: Suitable for children aged 6 and over. The Denby Pottery Tour is a walking tour inside our working pottery and involves the use of stairs and standing throughout.
For wheelchair users or those with special mobility requirements, we recommend our Denby Discovery Experience which guides you through our handcrafting journey in an accessible location.
Note: Hi-Vis vests will be provided by your guide for you to wear during your tour. Customer toilets and seating areas are unavailable throughout the duration of the Pottery Tour. Please wear suitable closed footwear. It can get hot/cold during your tour depending on the season.
Due to safety reasons, we are unable to take children under 6, prams, babies/children in arms or wheelchairs on The Denby Pottery Tour which is conducted within a working pottery environment.
Group Bookings: Maximum group size of 8 people per tour.
An automatic discount of 10% is applied at the checkout for group bookings of 6 or more people.

Experience refund and cancellations: Denby Pottery Village will make every effort to ensure that your Denby Pottery Tour goes ahead on the confirmed date and time. However, should unforeseen conditions prevail, an alternative date or time will be offered or a full refund will be given. Unfortunately, this event is non - transferable and refunds cannot be given for cancellations. Bookings confirmed with full payment. Please refer to our full T&C’s here
